Designed for the Mid-Autumn Festival, this gift packaging explores how a package can continue its life beyond the moment of unboxing.

The die-cut sleeve draws inspiration from the geometric lattice windows found in traditional Chinese architecture.
Hidden within the lattice pattern is the Ding Ding brand name, subtly integrated into the design as a visual discovery for the user.

As Mid-Autumn approaches, families gather by the window to admire the full moon. Within the pattern, a rabbit appears to chase the moon across the night sky—a playful reference to the Jade Rabbit, one of the most beloved symbols in Chinese Mid-Autumn folklore.

燃灯助月，岂不美哉。
The sleeve was designed with a second purpose in mind. Through a simple folding process, it transforms into a decorative lantern shade. Once illuminated, the intricate cutout pattern projects light and shadow into the surrounding space, extending the celebration beyond the gift itself.
